I was admitted to Salford Royal to have a tumour removed from my pituitary Gland this was performed by Mr Pathmanaban and his team. His bedside manner was first rate explaining the operation fully putting me at ease. Even my wife who met him said that his charming smile made her feel relaxed also. I used to joke on his ward visits that he must have been blessed with a gift from the gods. My operation was a complete success due to his skill. And i pray god will allow him to use this superb gift for many years to come. I think the hospital should erect a statue to him, but failing this at least name a ward in his honour. My family and I will be forever grateful to him and his team.

I was fortunate to have been cared for by such an excellent neurosurgeon. Mr Pathmanaban put me immediately at ease and took time to make sure that I fully understood my options. He is a world class surgeon and is a pioneer in the trans-sphenoidal approach. I had a supra sellar meningioma with optic nerve compression which had extended into the optic canal. The surgery was complex but Mr Pathmanaban was willing to operate using the trans-sphenoidal approach so that I could avoid an open craniotomy. He has an excellent and caring bedside manner. He is very relaxed when meeting you and I can highly recommend him to anyone who may need this type of surgery.

Mr pathmaban has great experince in his job. He understands the great concerns of the patient illnesses. He is the most top doctor in the UK. In my opinion what he can achieve in his speciality no other Doctor can reach . Because he treated my illness after I gave up hope. I was suffering for long time, eventually he was the only Doctor who found solution for me. Now after the surgery I am back in my feet. Looking forward to a healthy life.

I underwent the removal of a large brain tumour in September of 2017 by Mr Pathmanaban.The care and help to both me and my family were exceptional. I went to the operating theatre at 6pm and he finished the procedure at 1.30am at which time he took the trouble to ring my wife to say that the operation had been a success. We as a family are extremely grateful to both Mr Pathmanaban and his team and all the nurses and carers at Salford Royal and would like to say how lucky we are to have them all here in the North of England.
